Allahabad College’s govt council has determined towards altering the title of the varsity

Allahabad:

The Allahabad College’s govt council has determined towards altering the title of the Centre-run varsity following the renaming of the district to Prayagraj, officers stated on Monday.

A varsity spokesperson stated the manager council couldn’t meet due to the coronavirus lockdown. So the opinion of its 15 members was sought by way of electronic mail.

“Three members didn’t reply, whereas the remaining 12 responded within the adverse and a decision has been handed towards altering the title,” Shailendra Mishra informed PTI.

“The members wished the title retained,” Mr Mishra added.
