The federal government has appointed Financial Affairs Secretary Tarun Bajaj as a director on the central board of Reserve Financial institution of India (RBI). Mr Bajaj will probably be changing Atanu Chakraborty, who retired on April 30.
“The Central Authorities has nominated Tarun Bajaj, Secretary, Division of Financial Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Authorities of India as a Director on the Central Board of Reserve Financial institution of India vice Atanu Chakraborty,” RBI mentioned in an announcement on Wednesday.
The nomination of Bajaj is efficient from Could 5, the central financial institution added.
Mr Bajaj, a 1988-batch Haryana cadre IAS officer, had assumed cost because the Financial Affairs Secretary on Could 1. Previous to taking on as Financial Affairs Secretary, Mr Bajaj was the Extra Secretary in Prime Minister’s Workplace.
Earlier than becoming a member of the Prime Minister’s Workplace in 2015, Mr Bajaj was Joint Secretary in Financial Affairs Division, overseeing the multilateral funding companies division.
