BENGALURU: The Shivamogga district police in Karnataka have reigstered an FIR on AICC president Sonia Gandhi on a criticism from a neighborhood advocate taking objection to her tweet on prime minister Narendra Modi.
Opposition chief Siddaramaiah and Pradesh Congress president DK Shivakumar have urged chief minister BS Yediyurappa to quash the FIR and droop the police officer forthwith. The advocate, a BJP activist, has filed the criticism with a political motive, they mentioned.
Each leaders justified Gandhi’s tweet on PM Care Fund. “The tweet echoes the general public sentiment of our nation amidst unprecedented disaster & was meant to provoke dialogue within the public discussion board concerning the transparency of the PM Cares fund, which is a mirrored image of wholesome democracy,” Siddaramaiah tweeted.
